I am Laxman Sharma Paudel, a fifth-year graduate student at the University of South Dakota(USD), in the physics department. My research is focused on two remarkable experiments: the Majorana Demonstrator (MJD) and the LEGEND Experiment, both of which search for neutrinoless double beta decay in Ge-76. One aspect of my current research involves the discernment and identification of isomeric gamma transitions using machine learning techniques. This approach enhances our ability to pinpoint and characterize these unique signatures accurately. Moreover, I actively contribute to the simulation efforts aimed at modeling and comprehending the various backgrounds for the LEGEND Experiment, especially the cosmogenic backgrounds.
